Privacy Policy

1. The short version

Anaru is built to work without an account, without tracking and without advertising. Everything you do in the app — the words you save, the reviews you complete, the series you import — stays on your own device.

2. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or any usage analytics. There is no registration and no sign-in.

3. Where your data lives

4. Network requests

The app only makes network requests you trigger: loading the dictionary data, loading a content pack you point it at, and fetching shared learning data we host. These requests carry standard HTTP metadata (IP address, device type) visible to the servers you connect to, exactly like any website visit. No personal data is attached.

5. Content packs and third-party media

Anaru can play short excerpts of media that you provide or point the app to. The app itself does not host, license, or sell that media. You are responsible for the media you import and for the packs you distribute. See the Terms of Service for the educational-excerpt policy.

6. Children

Anaru is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and since no account exists, there is nothing to collect.

7. Deleting your data

All app data can be erased from within the app (Settings → Erase all data) or by uninstalling the app. Because we hold no copy, deleting on your device is the end of it.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will move. Material changes will be called out in the app.
